In 1997 Bulgaria was at breaking point, facing an overall crisis. Tens of thousands of people were protesting daily against the former Communist government. On 10 January the country's parliament in Sofia came under siege.

This early Communist newsreel reports that in central Sofia a main hub for spreading of propaganda has opened its doors. "The hub will follow closely the Soviet example". We see an instructor, looking at charts, "studying the situation of the working class in the capitalist countries".
